Electrical Workers IBEW Local 102 offers a 5-year apprenticeship program combining on-the-job training with classroom learning, focusing on electrical craftsmanship relevant to offshore wind careers. Upon completion, participants earn journeyworker credentials and receive OSHA-30 certification.
Additionally, Electrical Workers IBEW Local 102 provides continuing education for journeyworkers with skills-building courses in areas such as high voltage splicing, electrical estimating, hazardous materials communication, technician exam preparation, intelligent transportation systems, and computers and networking. The union also offers the 10-hour code training required by law for the renewal of an NJ Electrical Contractors License.
